I am Selling a Modified San Mai & KOA Bowie $SOLD

Raw Materials Used:
3/16” Mike Turner Wrought Iron & 1080 San Mai Billet
Presentation Curly KOA from Mark at Burl Source
Brass Guard

I am really proud of this one, it is loosely based on the PIF Lorien design I have come to love! The Turner San Mai is very attractive after etching, the wrought iron forms lines that compliment the pattern of the 1080 / WI weld line. This knife has a sweeping plunge line and a clip point that can be sharpened at the buyer’s request.

The Guard is brass and soldered in place, Disclosure: The side of the blade is not married perfectly to the guard but IMO still looks nice.

The Handle is one of Mark’s (Burl Source) top pieces of Curly KOA, this stuff has to be seen in person to appreciate. It almost has a hologram effect when held at different angles and light. The handle is the most comfortable I have had in my hands. Very comfortable in reverse and all forward grip positions.

The RIGHT HAND sheath is fully lined (no “rough side” of leather anywhere) with a tan leather inlay. The snap back is sandwiched between the leather to eliminate contact with knife surface.

Knife Specs:
Over All Length (OAL): 11”
Blade Length: 6”
Blade Width: 1.5”
Blade Thickness: 3/16”
Pin: 1/8” Nickel Rod
Lanyard Tube: ¼” Stainless Steel Tubing

Great looking knife Ryan.

Mike Thanks a ton, I really enjoyed working with your SanMai... I will be getting some more in the near future! Mark from Burl Source says you are going to teach him how to make a Knife!

Hey your welcome Ryan, I love to see what other makers do with my products and if I can tear Mark away from his bandsaw for a couple days to make one I even gave him a piece of damascus to make one of. Maybe I will have to go sabotage his bandsaw :D, heck he is only about 30 minutes from me.
