Mike Moran Eureka Jack - SOLD
I am the third owner of this Eureka Jack from Mike Moran, but I am the first to carry and use it. It remains in great condition, and the edge is basically new. The blade is free of scratches and is showing only very small signs of patina, and only hairline handling marks are showing on the bolsters and shield.
This is the first (and only) Eureka Jack that Mike made with the blade pivoting from the larger end of the handle. This knife features a hand-rubbed A2 blade and spring and is 3 ⅝ inches closed. It has double-red canvas micarta covers and a New York Knife Co shield. The blade is perfectly centered and has no play in any direction. The spring is flush in all three positions and has a snappy 5-6 pull. Comes with embroidered pouch, COA, and sticker.
Bret Dowell Sowbelly - SOLD
I purchased this knife from VCM Custom knives in great but used condition and it remains in the same shape: showing hairline handling marks on the pivot, shield, and liners, and showing scratches on the blade that one can only see in the right light. Nothing a spa wouldn't take care of. As well, there is some minor discoloration on the show side cover.
This knife features a CPM-154 blade and spring and is 3 ⅞ inches closed. It is wearing bone linen micarta covers with black liners and a double bomb shield. The blade is perfectly centered and has no play in any direction. The spring is flush in all three positions and has a very nice 6 pull. Comes with a generic taco-style pouch.
Mike Zscherny 3/4 Remington 1306 Lockback -$850 $800 $750 shipped
This 3/4 1306 in beautiful red stag came to me directly from the maker via R&M Custom Knives and is in near mint condition. I carried this in a leather slip once or twice and cut some tape, and the only signs of use are a few, very hard to find hairline handling marks on the bolster and shield. In the hand it looks like new. 2.75” blade length, 3.75 closed, 6.5”’ overall, and 0.08” blade thickness at the ricasso. It features a slicey, thin, hand-rubbed blade in CPM-154 and stainless bolsters and shield(pinned). The stag covers are nicely-matched and figured, and feature a uniquely deep red coloring.
The fit and finish is very excellent, but this knife has a few minor flaws that are reflected in the price. The blade sits just slightly to the left in the closed position, and although the blade has no side to side play, it has minor lock rock in the up-down direction that is only barely perceptible when I test it by applying pressure with my fingers (but it would be indiscernible in use). Very smooth action and nice snap on closing. Comes with a generic taco-style pouch. This is a steal for a knife that I originally purchased
