The Spyderco Southard is a catch and release for me. Awesome knife, just not really for me.
This one flips and flicks awesome, perfectly centered and rock solid lockup. This one was a light user as can be seen by the faint scratches on the tip of the blade.

This one is WITHDRAWN. CONUS only please

Not sure what you mean. It's the factory length. Might just be the picture. I'll try to get a better one.

It's short and stout as opposed to coming to a finer point like my Southards. It looks like the very tip of the blade snapped off and was re-profiled. It could just be a bad picture I suppose.

Interested in the Southard but I'm afraid it may be a fake. The blade does indeed look short, and Southard's have sharpening choils.

According to choombak who I bought it off of on this forum, it was just back from spyderco getting a spa treatment. Unless he is full of stuff, I think it's real. I'll do some more research on it though.

Yes, this Southard did visit the spa for re-sharpening and tune-up. I do, however, realize the tip is indeed short (thanks Mayenard for the comparison pic) -- the earlier sharpening was very aggressive at the tip. Had this been a fake, Spyderco wouldn't have serviced it in the first place. Good luck with the sale!

Thanks for the response choombak!
