This little skinner is all hand made, there are no CNC machines in Mr. Wallaces shop. He's been making knives for around 15 years and speaks of Bob Loveless as his main inspiration. This knife comes with a handmade leather sheath. It features a burgundy micarta handle.
Condition Note: This is in approximately 98% as received from the maker. The only issues that I can see are light scratches on the bolsters presumably from rubbing the sheath. The edge is original from the maker and sharp as a razor.

Each Ruana blade is made from high carbon steel that is hammer forged, hollow ground, individually oil quenched, and heat treated using a zone tempering method that makes the spine of the blade a little softer than the cutting edge.
All Ruana knives are made from tough cast aluminum handles with elk antler inserts and come with a high quality sheath.
This vintage Ruana knife was made from 1962 - 1983 while Rudy Ruana was still with Ruana Knife Works. This is a non-catalog knife that is a smaller version of the Ruana Model 12 A. It is great for smaller hands."
Condition Note: Approximately 90% as received. It's quite impressive the shape this knife is in for as old as it is. It appears to be the original edge, though it could use a sharpening.... That said, this is an old knife. There is a small speckle of 'pitting' on the side of the blade on it's presentation side, as shown in the pics.

This is a great example of a Scagel like skinner that won't break the bank, this is a great knife for a collector or a user alike.
Condition Note: The overall condition of this knife is approximately 90% , with the handle being in approximately 98 % shape. There are a couple light scuffs on the handle and that's about it; the blade, however, has many light scratches on the mirror polished portion. I presume this is from inserting the knife into and out of the sheath. The edge appears to be all original / unsharpened.

This is a sole authorship handmade tanto by Jody Samson (of ' Samson Custom Knives' in Burbank, CA.) prior to his working with Les De Asis ('Bali-Song USA' , 'Pacific Cutlery Corp' , 'Benchmade Knives'). This tanto would have been made around the latter 1970's to early 1980's.
Condition Note : Approximately 98 % , considering it's age this knife is in phenomenal shape. There are a few lights scratches, only visible under the right light, on the mirror polished blade. There are also a couple of light scuffs on the Micarta handle. Aside from that, it's as if this knife was made yesterday, it's in great overall condition. The edge is all original / unsharpened.

The discoloration on the back of the blade on this knife are forging marks and have been there since the knife was new, it is not a "flaw".
Condition Note : Approximately 90 %. There are some small scuff marks on the MOP handle, the bolsters as well as the blade. There are also assorted slight discoloration marks on the tang of the knife. (As seen in the pics). This knife has been sharpened on a Wicked Edge Pro.
