Picked this up about 2 weeks ago, I was told it has been in the box for over 20 years and its not hard to tell.
The knife will come with the original box and paperwork, I doubt you'll ever find another one like this, I would keep it but I'm a user and I don't feel the want or need to beat on this knife since I have so many other Emersons and I'm a CQC-7 fanatic.
The knife is still on factory edge, its not even broke in, I took it apart, cleaned and oiled it, smooth action and great lockup with no side to side or up and down play.
So light DLC has worn off on the spine from rubbing while being in the box for two decades.
One thing to note, these early Emersons have thin liners so under hard pressure it does have some lock flex, it doesn't unlock or de-lock, it just makes a noise, but this is only when you press up and down really hard. I've owned a few of these and they all have had the same thing, pretty normal on early Emersons.
No trades unless its for an Emerson CQC-7, flipper, mini, tanto, HD-7 .... Protech Auto CQC-7 or Benchmade 970 or 975 CQC7 , that's all I'm looking for.
Asking what I paid, so SOLD USD OBO gets this really early rare bird.
