Old school Strider SnG, pre Gen 6/no LBS, modded by John Gonzalez of Dervish Knives. Mainly looking to sell outright but would also trade for the right knife. (List of acceptable trades below) Got it from John the other day and the SnGs are just too small for me but this is a beautiful knife with awesome action, centering, and lock up. S30V with a BOS stamp.
ps. Since it is a mod there is no longer any Strider Warranty with it.
John's original write up for it from the USN..
This one was pretty beat up when I got it. Refinished it in blackened bronze stone-wash and did some experimental anodizing on the Ti stuff. Pics don't capture the colors well... lots of copper/bronze stuff going on in the frame and clip, and the blues look a little over saturated in the pics. Hardware has been cleaned up and heat colored. Good solid lock-up, blade centered, no play anywhere.
Also, when I asked if it started as a Lego G10 side here is John's reply:
Yeah it was originally a Lego. I shaped it the way I sometimes do my own knives, like CC, but with a slight palm swell in the middle. With this scale I didn't have much thickness to work with, so there is almost no palm swell. Hope that helps...
Crappy pic with too much light..
