Price is $325, free shipping within the CONUS. I'm listing it both here and in "customs" because this is one of 70 that had hand-ground blades (first production ever).

As far as I can tell from other Sifus being sold/offered this is the single best Sifu offered in recent memory.

I obtained this piece under sad circumstances in 2007, roughly a month before it's first owner Vampire Gerbil (David Gittelman) died. The day I found it was also the first and last day I met him.

He had named it "Big Sexy" for it's serial number 69.

I also have serial number one of this series, as I had a small hand in REKAT making them. The length (5.45") was to my specification for street-carry legality in both California and Texas. I won't ever sell #1 but I'm going to let "Big Sexy" go.

These first Sifus were the only hand-ground blade variant ever made, in ATS-34. They also lacked pocket clips; I've made an updated version of a belt-slide sheath in mixed leather/kydex for it and that will go out with it.

Condition is mint...zero signs of blade use or re-sharpening, extremely minor grip handling marks bordering on absolutely brand new looking. As the blade is hand-ground, there are minor variations in the grind lines and such. At no point does the cutting edge touch any of the grip's "innards" when folded.

These have the "stone washed" finish unlike the later "black blade" variants that scratched too easily.

Here's a reverse shot of the sheath - as you can see it's a simple "grab" of the knife with some .060" kydex, which in turn is laced to the leather belt slide with the two conchos covering where the laces go. Very heavy waxed cord is involves, with each knot hit with a drop of crazy glue (with the knife NOT in it while that happened!). It looks a bit ugly from the rear but it's extremely practical...in fact, this particular kydex molding is one I did about 10 years ago for my own knife, re-cycled with all new leather of a better grade (and professionally pre-dyed black) than I had access to back then.

I've also written up a page on how I obtained this knife, who Vampy was, etc:

It turns out his old website was grabbed by archive.org so I was able to get a pic of him in his full "Lorena Bobbitski" regalia and find links to some of his funnier material.

Anyways. It's a piece of BF history and I want it to stay in the BF family.
