Hey folks. You can check out the specifics of this sale/trade on Michael Crampton's page here: http://www.shadowofleaves.com/New_Blades.htm . The starting price I am asking is $SOLD. If you know a decent amount about katanas of this quality you know it is quite cheap. The price is not set in stone, but merely a place to start. If you have any questions or want to talk possible trades ( cutting swords preferably, fixed blades only for knives ) please send me a PM/Email and we can talk. Thanks for looking!

Looks like the ad in the link posted is asking for $2200 plus shipping. Kinda buried in there, though.

Anyway, nice sword! I've already got a bare mu-sori blade waiting to be polished and mounted, but lots of people don't realize how difficult it is to get a Japanese-style blade to come out perfectly straight. Rare to see one that isn't a toy.

Setting a price completely slipped my mind as I figured people would just check out the link. Anyways I edited my original post so everything should be good now. You are dead on saber, it is super hard to get a hand forged japanese sword to come out perfectly straight. I know the maker ( Joe ) told me this is only one of maybe 3 swords total that he has ever done in which the blade has had utsuri along the ENTIRE length of the hamon.

It really is a beautiful sword, which I would never sell if I didn't need to pay some stuff off. Even mounted in the cane sword, or "Shikomi-zue" style ( no traditional fittings, tsuba, etc. ) this bad boy can cut really well. The way Joe mounts sword like this make them incredibly strong and able to cut at least medium targets without a problem. That plus how unbelievably sharp it is would make it a great user for anyone. As a show piece it has an absolutely beautiful polish and the wood is awesome. Thanks for looking guys :).
