I've been carrying this one as my edc now for a bit. Need funds so I'm putting it back up for a sale at what I think is a good price for one of Pete's folders and without the wait. I love this folder but family bills are taking priority over my knife addiction right now.
I modded this one a bit to suit me a little better while I carried it.
I originally smoothed out the G10 onlays. They were grooved before and thick. I wanted it to ride a little slimmer in the pocket so I smoothed them out. I carried the folder like that for a while, and even though I got the slimmer feel I wanted, I missed the grip of the grooved handle scale..so, yep..I added the grooves back. I'm really happy w/ the final product now, its much slimmer in the pocket and still has a really grippy feel to it.
The only other mod is to the pocket clip. I re-shaped the tip slightly to be more rounded. It wasnt really that sharp but everytime my kids climbed on my lap it would poke them, so I rounded it. So the bead blast finish is worn off there from my work.
The blade is scratch free and sharp with Petes original edge, I have stroped the edge to maintain its sharpness. There are some wear marks in the BB finish on the handle scales and one noticeable carry mark on the pocket clip. Lockup is rock solid w/ zero blade play and the action is smooth and fast.
This knife is Not Mint so I think its priced accordingly. I would still rate this knife at 90% mint, and thats only because of my mods and a few carry marks.
Asking 400.00 shipped in the Cont. U.S. Paypal preferred w/ no fee. No echecks please. I will ship it USPS Priority Mail w/ Del. Conf. Insurance is extra if needed. Prefer no trades at this time. I prefer to keep this one in the Cont. U.S. at this time.
It will come in a padded zipper case and if you like I'll tie up a couple of differeny lanyards for it.
