This is a classic kozuka knife from Phill Hartsfield Sr. It is 9" OAL, and the chisel ground blade is 4 1/2". It is made from 1/8" A2 steel stock, and the razor sharp blade shows a distinct temper line, or "hamon". The handle is copper wrapped with a black cord wrap overlay. The sheath is metal lined and black leather wrapped. It has a very rare copper band with Phill's initial logo on it. It is in mint condition with no signs of use at all. This knife feels very solid in the hand, and the toughness and edge retention on a PH kozuka are legendary!
