Grant and Gavin Hawk Custom S.T.U.D. Prototype
I got this knife directly from the Hawks at The Blade Show. Totally mint. Never used and never carried. It is a total safe queen. It is marked Prototype #12 of 20, and is one of the few prototypes with an anodized titanium frame. S.T.U.D. stands for "Swift Trigger Under Detent". It features the RTBS (Roller Thrust Bearing System), which makes the pivot extremely smooth and the flipping action incredibly fast. The blade is opened with a unique flipper tab that is located near the top of the handle when closed but disappears into the handle when open. The blade is unlocked via the ladder pattern slider in the scale window. The blade is bead blasted S30V steel. Scales are machined from blue and black layered G10. The pocket clip is another Hawk innovation, and is self adjusting. Fantastic fit and finish throughout. The blade is 3.678 inches, and the overall length is 8.5 inches.
