Hello, everybody! I have a couple of gorgeous brand new customs. I'm selling them for almost half of what I paid. I'm looking to unload them ASAP, so please make offers if you like one or both. Thank you! Paypal friends and family. PM with any questions, life lessons etc.
First up we have a custom kitchen utility/small utility/eating knife/art knife etc. from Walter Sorrells! This is hand forged in a beautiful ladder damascus pattern. The blade is about 5 1/4 inches long. The handle is a rich, dark gabon ebony. The matching sheath is also gabon ebony. This is a ton of expensive wood! The chape on the sheath is hammered sterling silver. A gorgeous edition to any kitchen or desk or whatever you want to do with it. The blade is unsharpened but that can be remedied easily. Asking 400 shipped but I'll entertain offers. It's brand new and I paid 900 directly from Walter. He's not taking custom orders for the foreseeable future so get one here!
The second blade is a traditionally forged yoroidoshi (armor piercing) tanto by Dave J. of the Crossed Heart Forge/Island Blacksmith. It's unmounted but completely finished. You can polish it up if you want to see the suguha hamon or mount it with the "blacksmith's finish." It's been traditionally sharpened as well, so it's a razor. Here're the specs from Dave's site:
Nagasa (blade length): 139mm
Motokasane (blade thickness): 7mm
Motohaba (blade width): 22mm
Sori (curve): 1mm, sakizori
Nakago (tang): 87mm, osuriage, single mekugi-ana
Mei (signature): mumei (unsigned)
Materials: reclaimed caterpillar bearing race
If you know Dave's work, you know his blades go for thousands. This blade was cheaper than most at nearly 500; I'm asking 300 but will entertain any offers. It's brand new and untampered with by me! It's will ship in oiled paper in a large fabric padded knife pouch. BladeForums is saying the files are too big, so I've linked my Instagram to provide the pics. Click on the hyperlinks to see!
