Today we have a rare bird, and a rare breed in Protech SS Large Don. Part of the original "mid tech custom" models offered in limited quantities by Protech. These IMO represent the very best of Protech and I've tried them all from SNGs to half breeds, to Emerson collaborations, to TR-4's, to Dark Angels, to Godson's, you name it. The carbon fiber finish and selection is second to none, the fit and finish is as good as any Chris Reeves, and the carbon fiber button is just the nicest touch. In addition the Steel provides strength and durability and a heft and feel like you really have something special in your hands. The blade is needle point sharp, ample at 4.5" but trim lined in such a way with the dark finish gives the impression is around 3.6". The 5" handle is contoured and stylized to provide super comfortable grip and slimline design makes pocket carry a joy despite the one and only flipper guard.
