This is a rare model #2 White Wolf-Woodard liner lock auto with a chisel ground tanto blade. The blade was hand ground by Buck Woodard from AT-34 and it has a deeply blued finish. The frame for the model #2 was designed by Walter Brend when both Brend and Woodard worked for White Wolf when Jim Ray owned the business. Woodard then took over the operation when Ray moved on to MOD Knives, I believe in the late 1990's. Many of the model 2 knives had blades ground by Brend, while some had blades ground by Woodard. The tanto grinds were all done by Woodard, and if I recall correctly, the Woodard knives were the only ones to have the liner lock. This is the only one I've seen with the chisel ground, blued blade and it's a beautiful knife. The plunges on the front side were mirror polished, while the center and reverse of the blade have a hand rubbed satin finish.

The knife has not been used, carried, or sharpened and remains about as close to mint as you can get. It has not been cleaned or polished and remains completely original. The blade fires fast and exceptionally hard. Lock-up is very smooth and the liner lock appears to be of titanium. Lock release is very smooth as well. The handle appears to be of anodized aluminum and it has a satin finish with no scratches, abrasions, or rub. The butt has a lanyard hole and the edges of the frame are beveled.

The knife is just over 4-3/4" closed and 8-5/8" fully opened.

Here are some additional photos. It's tough to see in the photos, but the grinds were polished to a deeply mirrored finish with reflections making it look like rub/or abrasions. There are no rubs or abrasions on the mirror polished surfaces.

This is a vintage Microtech Mini SOCOM auto. This example has the silver blade with the tanto point and combination edge. The blade was ground from 154-CM and the knife is dated 2/2000. The serial number is 1627 and the knife comes in its original plastic storage case with all paperwork, registration card, and sheath. It also comes with the original cardboard sleeve/box and the knife has its original lanyard. This knife is a long-time resident of my personal collection and it's fresh to the market.

The knife has not been used, carried, or sharpened and remains about as close to mint as you can get. It has not been cleaned or polished and remains completely original. The blade fires fast and hard with rock-solid lock-up. Lock release is smooth and easy. The handle is free of any scratches, abrasions, or rub.

The knife is just over 4" closed and 7-1/4" fully opened.
