Up for sale is a Scrapyard Regulator. I got it brand new, and cut 1 piece of cardboard, hence the mark on the blade. see photos below. Other than that, it is brand new. Also has sheath included, which is of very good quality. Great retention, great fit and finish on it. Asking 200 or best reasonable offer. Price is Paypal Goods, Shipped in the USA. Anywhere else must me discussed prior, but not out of the quwestion. The ONLY, and i mean ONLY trades i would consider are Hinderer knife accessories and/or Hinderer Knives for XM18 3.5" or preferabily XM24. This is why I am selling, an XM24 accessory came up for sale. Please feel free to email me any questions, offers and the like. Thanks for your time and have a good day.

Just clarifying....Cutting one piece of cardboard did that to the blade finish???
Please tell me you are interested in purchasing this, and that is why you posted. Yes cutting a very thick piece of cardboard did that. It might remove I haven't tried at all.

Yes I have an interest, have been looking at Scrapyard for some time, but certainly not if the finish is as delicate as it appears from this one pic. I find it surprising on a knife touted as extremely tough, so wanted more info on which to base a decision. Sorry if the question annoys you but... What would it look like if batoned through a piece of wood? Can't believe I was the only one wondering.

Ok. Im sorry if you took that as snarky, it just seemed originally that you were just crapping on the knife with no intent to buy. After checking the knife, it appears, to me at least, the knife is coated black, and the gray 'tiger stripes' are applied over the black, which is what you're seeing in the mark. The black coating underneath the gray, not the blade steel. That being said, its a coating. After repeated batoning you will wear the coating off, on any knife really. Now as far as how quick or whatnot, there's a million and one variables to that answer.
