Here's a project I had last month with a friend of mine who's a professional watchmaker. I bought an SKX009 from http://www.amazon.com/Seiko-Divers-Automatic-Watch-SKX009K1/dp/B0018N0PQW/ref=pd_sbs_watch_5 with the intention of modifying it. The stock model comes with hardlex crystal, not as great as sapphire, which is common to high end watches. So, to make the long story short, I had the hardlex removed and changed to sapphire crystal. While doing that, I had my watchmaker change the hands, bezel, dial, and chapter ring. I also changed the stock rubber strap to a better Super Oyster bracelet. The result is so much better! I'll let the picture speaks for itself.
I spent about $325 including labor cost on this project. A new watch project is on the way and I am afraid that this will not get any wrist time. I am letting it go for a good price of $OLD paypaled and shipped to your door. It will come with the box, manuals, other documentation and extra links. NO TRADES please.
First "I'll take it" plus PM rule applies. Thanks for looking.
