I purchased this knife new about 3 months ago. I only used it to whittle a stick when I first received it, and I tried to use it as a striker for my Swedish Firesteel - took one try to realize the coating won't allow that. It has never been sharpened, and only in my hand a few times. The only use is outlined above.
I also purchased a JRE black leather right-hand sheath for the knife, which is part of the deal, as is the stock Kydex sheath.
