I bought this knife as a project knife. the knife was sold to me with a problem, when the knife was closed the back part (plastic "tang") will not sit flush with the scales.
well i took the knife apart and reassembled, after reassembly the problem went away but the liner lock will not engage. after hours fiddling with it i determined that the liner lock was not properly fitted, and that the initial issued was because the liner was not sitting flush with the scales, so it would lock but bulge out when closed. i spent hours with a stone re fitting the liners and glad to say that everything is great now. the knife locks with a snap and does not have any play. the lock up is early, because i sanded away the lock face and reassembled about 20 times until it barely catches.
blade looks new and appears to be factory edge. blade is perfectly centered, does take more effort than i like to open (not a flicker) can adjust this a little bit looser but the blade goes off center.
scales look new, clip looks new
pivot screw looks like its been fiddled with, not by me as i was very careful not to scratch it.
the blade has some rough finishing near the pivot, it came from spyderco this way
the black part around the "lum" logo is not all there
overall a great knife, i would call it excellent condition and i tried to put a lot of detail here. i was told these are somewhat collectable with the serialized numbers on them and i am looking for knives i can use instead.
SOLD
