You have seen it before. Brand new. Only sat on the shelf. A close friend gave it to me for $1.00. He didn't want it cause he is going into the Army and Glow In The Dark doesn't seem like the most logical to have that while attacking enemies in the night. Now I am going to sell it and use those funds to purchase a pencil from him for $210.

I feel benefited.

If he is in possession of the knife, I don't see a problem. I believe that rule was intended for situations where someone posts a sale ad for a friend, but does not have possession of said item.
 
Rules we have for a reason. This is not a free-fire zone. A friendly word of advance should never be taken antagonistically, -- otherwise I get involved. Let's not do that.

Just sell the item, without the drama, and no one gets burned by a hot-headed moderator, OK?

Sorry, you are wrong. The friend is not a paying member but his knife is on sale here. Not right.
