The Strider AR started out as a liner lock but over the past couple years has been shifted over to a framelock like the rest of their folders. However, as the Strider guys like to say, no model is ever truly discontinued, it just might be a looong time between runs. In other words, if they feel like making a few of a model that hasn't been seen for years, they'll do it. Something like that happened with the AR liner lock a few months ago: a very small batch -- 3 knives -- was made and sent to one of the major Strider dealers. I was lucky enough to snag one, but since it's just been sitting around unused -- I prefer my SMFs -- I've decided to let it go.
The knife is NIB -- "New In Baggie", since Striders don't come in boxes.
It has a well-centered blade and early lockup (see pictures), and also happens to be the smoothest out-of-the-baggie Strider I've ever owned. As you'll also see from the pictures, the handle of this knife is very thick: I've included an overhead comparison shot of the AR next to a CC SMF (not for sale) to give an idea of the thickness.
My asking price is SOLD (add 3% if paying via PayPal and not using the 'personal' tab). Shipping via USPS Priority Mail w/ Insurance & DC is $11 within the United States. I'm also happy to ship to non-US destinations via USPS Express Mail International, which is $36 (at buyer's risk).
