FSH Carry Options.....

Is it this one? Really difficult to take pics of the shoulder rig, it pretty much hides itself. This one is too big for me so it doesnt want to fit right. Dang my beard was short back then!

Yes, that's the one....does the sheath have one of those "X" attachments to fit the shoulder rig or is it directly stitched on?

Thanks Leatherman, the way you described it makes sense. I think that I might have to experiment with the concept now.

They can be done either way. I've done them fully attached, on a swivell, and with snap straps to allow you to connect different sheaths to the base rig.

Beware, these rigs are a bear to get to work right, when I did my first one it took three tries to get it to sit right. The rig was designed with a firearm in mind so the balance is all wrong for a knife. Lots of tweaking involved.

I have one on order. I will post pictures when I get it.

I am mainly interested in the harness and the adjustability and comfort thereof, since I already have kydex sheaths.

It also appears that it would be simple to interchange different knives.

Dwayne's is no doubt not even in the same class as this one, as the leather and quality of work he does is outstanding, but I'm looking more for a simple but effective solution that I would not care to get banged around, or wet, while going thru the woods.

I have sent in the order for a strap system to fit a number of sheaths for different knives...FSH...Basic 9 and FBM LE...so that should cover all levels of chopping. That type of rig is great for my needs....
