fsh or cgfbm

Just wondering what you guys think would be best as a user compared against the two.....FSH (HH/HOG) or CGFBM...
Is bigger better?

what kind of use do you have in mind? Id probably rather have the CGFBM for most things and if you wanted to go lighter, you could drop a lot more weight going with a Basic 10 or 11
 
If you don't HAVE a BM, you need one.

it's my next purchase, once my current order gets here.
 
I say mistress. since you are going after a HH/HOG FSH, they would end up around the same weight as a FBM so you might as well get the extra length.
 
As i keep hearing from the real hogs here, what are you going to use it for?

I have a CGFBM and a TGLB and a Pork Shank.

I love the CGFBM, but it's bigger and somewhat heavier (i have the corrugated blade, so it's a little lighter than the big nukes or fatties, i wanted it that way). But if you're going to carry it, you'll probably also want to take a small blade, like a Pork Shank or smaller, for light chores.

I have to say, i'm mostly carrying the TGLB when hiking or doing project on the property, since i don't have any chopping chores right now.

Man I have been debating the same thing. I have a. 27 FSH with g10 mags and it chops like a monster but belt carries like a brick. I feel like it is a little too large for finer tasks so a smaller companion is a must. Given the above if you are gonna carry or bring multiple blades I say why not get a FBM and the extra benefits the length provides? Now if you are only going to have one blade. Something like a FSH or in the 7" to 8" blade range makes sense.

I have never handled a SHSHII but I suspect based on my experience with a SHBM and SHBA that it would be the best 1 knife for me in that size range.
 
I say cgfbm no real rhyme or reason just like it better. You can't go wrong with either though.
