FSH or NMSFNO

since i have a few fsh's, i didn't get any nmsfno's. in fact, i've had to sell a hhfsh and a hogfsh because of this stupid recession. if i got and extra $1000 tomarrow, i'd buy 2 more fsh's before any nmsfno's.

so i pick FSH!

cheers, kimo

The only answer is to get both. I have a NMSFNO, which I really like. I like the Fusion grip on my FBM also. But I think I'm going to hold out for a NMFSH, there's gotta be one coming down the pike sooner or later. :)

i haven't handled the nmsfno yet, but I have handled a variety of fsh's.

Get the full flat cg hogfsh. It feels like it's one giant peice of steel in your hands, as rock solid as any knife I've ever handled in my life. The other sh's just didn't do anything for me, but that thing.

it's like the difference between the hoglefbm and the ffbm, one feels neutralish, the other feels like an I-beam. The cg hogfsh felt way better balanced though, the ffbm was really blade heavy.

with all that said, if I had to buy one over I think I might try for the nmsfno.

I've used both and my fav user still is the HHFSH:thumbup:

I had both, and in the end, I sold the NMSFNO and kept the FSH. It is just an awsome knife. I am sure there is someone on the boards here that live in your area. See if you can get a get toghther to happen and feel a few for yourself and make a choice. If you were in Wyoming you could play with mine for a bit.

Not that another voice is needed here, but I'll add mine anyway...

If I had never handled an FSH I would think the NMSFNO couldn't be beat. But I do have an HHFSH (with magnum grips - makes a big difference to me) so...

HHFSH without a doubt!

Man you guys don't make it easy!:D From what it sounds like they are both great knives. I think I will be going with another NMSFNO due to money. It is a good $160+ cheaper than I'll be able to find an FSH for. And that is significant money. Hopefully I can find one on a ganza or if they release an NMFSH. Again, I thank everyone for their input on this question. It has helped me out as I move forward. You're all good people:thumbup:

Man, you guys are killing me with all this talk about the HH. Probably driving up the price, too. :grumpy:

MOB, it's all your fault, I really liked that stripped one.

If..no, WHEN, I score, I think it would look good with a DCBB finish.

I miss that beast something fierce. :(
The HH is on my "To Get Again" list and I think you're right, it would look AWESOME blasted.

Its was my first Busse and when I originally posted pics of it people were like "One hell of a first Busse." :D I will never get rid of mine.

some random pictures. I much, much, much prefer the cghogfsh over the hhfsh.
the hh felt thick and blade heavy, the hogfsh felt solid and whole. it completely resolved
any balance issues from the other fsh varieties.

also consider the basic 9 if your looking for a general chopper. it's right next to the
cghogfsh on my "perfect knives" list.

next to some choppers. (the khukuri is the same 18" ang khola from below)

if you want some -truly- big choppers, HI is the way to go. the smallest of the lot in
this picture is an 18" oal ang khola at just under 1/2" thick, and the largest is a 30" oal
ang khola at 1/2" thick, weighing around 6lbs.

I picked the NMSFNO instead of the Steel Heart, specifically BECAUSE of the TAC handle. Sometimes I find myself using a knife with different grips, and the TAC handle lends itself to a wider variety of grips than the other. At least for me. YMMV. That's why there's choices in the world!

If you want to make sure you make the right decision, GET BOTH!

So I did go with the order on the company site for an nmsfno. I'd still like to get an fsh some day, but for now, this saved me a good amount of money. I have to say, that Jerry is awfully lucky to have such a good following of people. This forum is the ultimate marketing site!
