FSOT: Custom Chaves 228 Redencion. This knife is a beast, is hair popping sharp, flies out when flipped and just bad a$$ looking. Unfortunately, it's just too big to EDC. It comes with a felt lined pouch and 2 sets of thumb studs (the original ones from Chaves, which I put back on the knife, and some replacement ones the previous owner put on the knife). I just picked this up about 2 weeks ago. I carried it, cut open some tape on a box and flipped it some to get used to the action (very smooth!). Otherwise, it's been in my knife case hanging out. The previous owner had this modded. Here's the previous posters description and thread url: "And last is this awesome Chaves 228. The dark acid wash and swedge were done by Sean Campbell, recalcitrant American. It has a sharp mirror wicked edge, and I Orange peeled the whole handles and clip and gave the clip a beautiful bronze and purple ano. I also custom fitted the big thumb studs (they were originally too wide for the knife to fully close, no modification was made to the blade to make these fit) and now they fit perfect and give it that custom look. It is rock solid, great lock up with no stick and butter smooth. If you have wanted a full custom Redencion but don't have the money or couldn't find one this one is dang close. I'm looking to trade down and i'm only looking for a Protech Les George Rockeye auto (all black), Reate Horizon C with the charcoal handles, or Liong Mah Warrior One; otherwise I'd like $525 FIRM net, via PayPal in CONUS only. I'm not desperate and don't mind keeping the knife or bumping this up for a while, so low ballers need not apply.
