Custom heavy bowie knife FSOT
First I want to be clear that when it comes to custom blades this is one of the most plain you will find.
I bought this new from a custom maker a few years ago. This is a stout, built-like-a-tank piece of steel! It doesn’t have a highly polished surface (more like a satin finish), with no fancy etching, etc. This is from my personal collection, and never used, carried, or sharpened. The cutting edge is just under 9 inches. This is a no frills knife It didn't come very sharp from the maker. I was told it is spring steel but I can't tell just looking at it.
