I'm selling my Chaves 228 mid tech that I purchased when they first came out. It's essentially been a safe queen in all of the time I've owned it. It's in like new condition. I've opened & closed it a few times. However, it has never been used, carried or sharpened. It's not even broken in. For full disclosure, I did take it out a few times to stare at it.
Blade is "dead nuts" centered. It's a beast at .19" thick. Unlike the newest edition, the "Chaves" logo is etched in gold on blade which gives it a nice little understated contrast. Absolutely zero play in any direction. No lock stick. Bank vault like lock up. The skull clip is stunning & unique, and totally "makes" the knife. The only reason I'm selling it is because I picked up a user & there's no way I can afford to keep two.
