After some thought and advice from a good friend, I have decided to drop the price significantly. As I stated below, it looks as if the carbidizing that was done by the previous owner, has removed faster than normal causing the lockbar to move over more. Now causing lock stick that sometimes takes two hands to close. This will work itself out over time and after multiple cycles of opening and closing but I feel it's necessary for the price to reflect.
Up for sale or trade is my beloved Strider SNG. This knife is a Blue Line Gear edition. Comes with Micro Melt PD1 steel, a blue line gear LBS, and the lock side and blade are cerakoted in Cobalt Blue (looks like gunmetal black).
I have carried this knife quite a bit and the cerakoting wears like iron. A few chips here and there in the Ti and some on the spine of the blade.
G10 is Ranger green.
Some disclaimers. I want to be up front about everything. This knife is rock solid with no blade play however it has developed some lock stick lately. Under hard opening and hard cutting, the lock bar moves slightly, making it hard to disengage with one hands down usually need two hands after this happens.
This knife had some work done to it from the previous owner (Bellablades). He carbidized the thumb studs, behind the tip on the spine, and the lockbar face. I believe the lock is starting to stick because the carbidizing is wearing off. I could be wrong.
The blade has been reprofiled to 30 inclusive. Cuts like a laser beam with this and the 3/4 grind.
This is some of the best steel I have ever used. Stays sharp forever!!!
Also in with the deal is a custom one off handmade sheath. The sheath is made for right hand carry. I have never used the sheath, nor has the previous owner, and it's not broken in yet.
Enough talk.
Things I'm interested in for a trade.
