I originally purchased this knife sometime in the late 1990's. Over the years, I have taken it out a few times to check it out and handle it. I have never carried or sharpened it. The heaviest duty it's ever seen is to cut a couple of sheets of paper and to open a letter here and there. Under magnified inspection, there are a few, and I do mean few, superficial hairline surface scratches from being taken out and put back into sheath. Kraton handle is in like new condition. The leather sheath is super thick and heavy. It has a little bit of wear around the edges from being stored. I believe it's much more durable than the current sheath. It comes with everything as new, original Cold Steel box, blank warranty card, and bubble wrap. Current MSRP $450, typically sells for about $290 online.
