FOR SALE OR TRADE: Zero Tolerance 0560CBCF (Serial #0242) Limited Edition with combo-blade, upgraded anodized Ti hardware - AND - Ferrum Forge Knife Works 'Ferox'(SOLD) Midtech - CPM 4V
The ZT 0560CBCF has a patented and very cool combo-blade, with stonewashed 14C28N Sandvik on the spine, and bead-blasted CPM S110V on the bottom and cutting edge. Sculpted black carbon fiber over a skeletonized titanium liner, and a 3D-contoured titanium frame-lock handle, with a subtle, finely ribbed texturing. The steel pivot assembly and hardware, as well as the Lock-bar Stabilizer and clip-screws, have all been replaced with beautifully anodized, richly bronze-toned titanium replacements -- as well as extras to serve as filler-screws for the pre-drilled clip-mounts. All are identical in style to the ZT originals, which are also included if you prefer the factory set-up (replacement is made even easier with the Sebenza-style snap-together assembly).
The 6Al4V Titanium stand-offs (by BF Craftsman Gnoleb) are anodized a vivid blue, contrasting beautifully with the black and bronze. Again, the original black steel stand-offs are included.
The knife has the smooth flipping action you'd expect of an 0560, and the blade seating is dead center. The lock-up is rock-solid, at about 40%, and there isn't a hint of blade-play, horizontally or vertically. This is an excellent, virtually flawless knife; 'LNIB' doesn't apply, obviously -- the titanium hardware is an 'after-market' modification, augmenting it's awesomeness by 23.6% (figured using a calculator assembled from parts of James Dean's Porsche Spider) -- but it has its original, super-sharp edge (never used), and it comes with the original box and papers.
The FFKW Ferox is a heavy duty flipper, an absolute beast, a frame-lock with thick Titanium handles and a beautiful two-toned blade of CPM 4V steel. The flats are horizontally satin-finished, while the grinds are a high-contrast acid-etched 'black-wash' finish, ideal for hiding scuffs and scratches. It has one or two light snail trails on the Ti finish, and slight rubbing on the clip, but who cares? This is one midtech that seriously begs to be used, not locked away. It's a tough knife for tough jobs, with no bull-sh*t included (except maybe mine
). It looks great, though, with blue-anodized titanium standoffs and Steven Kelly pivot, and a blue-anodized titanium pocket-clip.
Price is 495$>>>450$ USD (565$ CAD) for the ZT 0560CBCF; 400$>>>$OLD for the FFKW Ferox including shipping with full insurance and tracking, anywhere in N. America. International Sales are welcome, but overseas customers will have to cover shipping and risk. Payment is by Paypal Gift/Goods (either way is fine, we can discuss fees), or EMT (email INTERAC transfer). EMT is the preferred method for Canadian customers, but if that's not possible, Paypal works as well.
TRADES: Kwaiback Midtech, Southard Tolk, CRK Large Sebenza/Umnumzaan, Rockstead, ZT 0454, Shirogorov, etc. -- cash can both ebb and flow to find monetary equilibrium
