This is a 1955 light weight Colt Commander with Commercial roll marks. Irv stone of barsto precision has done a full custom job on this and I just picked it up so this is unfired and unused since the work has been done, except for test firing. The work includes the following......
Barsto .45 acp barrel
fit barrel and bushing
throat ramp
beavertail fitting
grooved front strap
full de horn to carry
4 lbs trigger breaks perfect
ambi safety
a little filework on the mag well to open it up a little bit
heine straight 8 sights with tritium in front
great slide to frame fit
there is not a part of this gun that hasn't been touched by irv
high quality finish (need to check the name) very tough
In case you haven't handled one of Irv's full custom guns the work is absolutely perfect just like his barrels. He also fits everything tight so after 500 rounds or so it will loosen up. Basically this is the ultimate carry gun and if I wasn't transitioning to the HK P7M8 I would be carrying it.
gun is also available for PPT in california. As far as trades I will entertain trades for HK P7M8s, HK P7M8 accesories, perhaps a ca edition seecamp .32, Neil blackwood and trace rinaldi knives.
