I picked this one up way back off another forum and it was my edc up until recently. It's as solid as the day I got it with the best lock up on any folder that I have owned. As they say, "it's like a bank vault". It was never abused but is heavily carried so all the coating has completely worn off and personally I think it looks better this way. Buttery smooth opening, lock up is at center, there is absolutely zero blade play and it has the single thumbstud. There is NO paperwork or box with this one and was represented to me as BG-42 blade steel. I have no way to confirm this other than the word of the very respected knifenut I bought it from. Perhaps contacting CRK can identify such if it means that much to the new prospective owner. There is a scratch on the outer scale but other than that this will make for a great user, or send it back to CRK to pretty her up again. Pic available on request.
**added** (3/7/09) I was informed by a fellow BF member and Sebbie-ist to take it apart and inspect the blade near the pivot hole for markings or lack of, to help identify if it is indeed a BG-42. Unfortunately the pivot looks to be loctite by the original owner and I was unable to free the pivot for inspection. Otherwise it is still a sweet Sebbie none the less. If it proves to be BG-42 as I was told than that is an added bonus!
Thank you defaultuser for the advice on blade steel identificaton!
I'm looking to trade for a Strider PT with NO issues, looks aren't important as long as it is in solid working order. I'd also entertain other Strider models, especially a SLCC or towards a user SMF with $$$ adjustments negotiable. Not looking at other brands at this time.
Trade will be in the USA only and I prefer to trade with Forum regulars. If you are new to Blade Forums or have few iTrader postives I will ask that you send your end first and upon receipt I will send my end. Nothing personal, just how we do things here on BF. I am a solid trader as my feedback speaks for itself. Shipping will be USPS Priority Mail/Insured and with Signature Confirmation for both parties. I can only check my email a couple of times a day but I will get back to you. Thank you for looking!
