One solid knife, very nicely built.
Condition is LNIB, with the usual surface marks near the pivot on the blade itself. Edge is factory. Lock-up is very solid, opens very smoothly, blade is centered within handle with no rub on the liners. Only small problem is that one screwhead (the one along the lock-bar) is partially stripped (however, it's still usable; problem was the screw didn't entirely snugly take a T10 driver). I dialed-in the lock-bar tension beforehand, so there aren't any other issues.
UPDATE: I received a couple spare pivot screws from Spyderco, so you can replace the partially stripped screw yourself, and keep another one as an extra, just in case you happen to do the same. I may replace it myself once I get another Torx driver (that hopefully fits better), and the knife will be, for all intents and purposes, NIB.
Looking for a knife (folder) of similar quality with a superb blade-steel. Condition should be LNIB/NIB with no exceptions except in the case of a used knife of higher value. I intend to put the knife to heavy use. I have some small interest in higher-end slipjoints, but will mostly consider 'tac' folders. May consider some handy fixed blades, nothing over 4.5" blade length please. Looking only for plain-edge blades.
Can add up to around $100 (maybe a little more) or so for the right trade; this can go towards a multiple knife deal as well. Looking to trade for a blade of equal pricepoint, or up.
I'll be moving to Canada tomorrow, so it might be a few days before I get back to anyone, but I *will* get around it, so don't worry.
