I have a citizen professional diver for trade. I've worn it for a week, other than that, it's new. It never needs a battery because it uses eco-drive solar power operation. 9 hours in the sun will power the watch for 6 months. So if your out in the sun every now and then with the watch, then there is no need to buy watch batteries.
