Full convex BK2????

My first Becker was a Camillus BK-2 bought shortly after they came out. After using it for a year or two I ground it to a full height convex and it's in league of its own as a bushcrafter. True, it's a tad thinner than the current 2, but I think you would like the results if you do it.

I honestly would be much happier with a Bk 2-7  That wish hasn't happened figured shoot the the moon for a 10". I thought I heard a rumor bringing back a 20/29 just a rumor . I know I would prefer a large BK2 style blade over the others. The simple Saber drop point style is my all time favorite ;)
I'd love a longer version of the BK2...my vote is 10-12"
Also if we are shooting the moon, I want a 14-16" blade length on a BK5....a kind of becker samurai sword.

I'm more interested in a 7-10inch version.. Prefferably 8 inches cause it will outreach a bk7 and be on par with a bk9 reachwise cause of better batononomics thanks to the slight droppoint contra the clip on the bk9.
Nuff said lets do it.

An extended BK2 would be AWESOME! That would make me very happy.

Any thoughts on how a full convex vs. the saber grind would affect performance? Cutting? Batonning? Chopping?

I love the full convex on my Fallkniven F1, but obviously the much larger, heavier, thicker BK2 would have different geometry so I'm trying to gauge and at least take a SWAG at how the performance might translate into the package before I invest the money and time in the project.

I think full convex blades complement thick blade stock well. You could even try to just convex it more like a high saber, so take off enough above the current primary grind to get a nice rounded profile. I'm working on something a little smaller than that in an EDC sized blade blank that I got for cheap, just to play around with convexing. Even with a belt sander and only 3" of blade, it's taking a while. I'm not rushing it since I don't entirely know what I'm doing but taking it slow and evalutating regularly, I have at least a few hours into it and it's just starting to get to look like a scandi-vex instead of a higher convex, that is to say it has an thick radius. I'll need to remove my guide that stops at 10 degrees for flat grinds as it's too obtuse still for what I'm working on right now. Need to take a few more degrees off.

Seriously, what’s the best way to give a sharpened knife a full convex edge? Would it be to sand the current edge flat and start all over?
