Not much too it, this is my latest machete, the quench through a hard drop into the blade.. which I actually ended up liking, so instead of fixing the forward curve, I let the steel do what it wanted and ended up with a pretty slick user.

The forward curve really lends itself to cutting thin whippy bush and what not that with a straight blade would bounce off the edge..

Specs-

oal- 21"

blade length from handle- 16"
handle length from top of panels-5" The handle is pinned, glued, and permanently screwed into place.. to keep the panels from loosening through use.
blade width- 1.5"
blade thickness- .09"
grind is full convex to edge. The finish of the blade is scotchbrite satin, then rubbed down with a beeswax/oil mixture to waterproof the metal and micarta. Edge is polished to 3k grit, then stropped on my felt belt to a shaving sharpness.

Sold to Sloth! thanks

a sheath can be made for it for a little more, either leather or canvas.

Thanks!

Thank you, steel is 15n20, basically high nickle 1084-1095.. I use it a lot where blades in use might get rusty.. or stained, because the nickle helps out there a bit..

I did, kindly keep from posting in my threads unrelated to our business.
I reply immediately to private messages, emails, and visitor messages, so there is never any reason to go this route to reach me.

thank you

Last one I got was 10/13/10 but nothing since, no hammer either. Sorry Kenon, but I'm not too happy right now.

I sent it to the email listed for your paypal, again. please keep from bumping my threads with unrelated content, its not my aim to rip anyone off, and I apologize that it is taking so long to see your order.

as I stated in the email, my press which I rely on heavily for breaking down large stock (hammers) is currently down. and until I can get that up and running again I cannot get out any hammer orders. I'm working as fast as I can on putting together every order I am able, and I should be able to get some hammers out before the end of the month. If you want a refund I understand and will issue one, if you are willing to wait a little longer I'll have a hammer done for you.

Please, email me if you have any further questions, I understand there is power in publicizing this sort of thing, but you never contacted me before now with your concerns which would have been greatly appreciated. There are many available means to contact me.

Here is my email in case you do not already have it. Obleaquepuddle@hotmail.com.

again, my sincere apologies, I value my reputation as a quality knifemaker and businessmen greatly, and I want to work this out with you directly.
hell if I have to make the 2 and some hour drive to drop it at the door I will :)

Thanks

Kenon

The paypal account belongs to my wife who was wondering who you were:foot: I sent an email. I apologize. I thought you'd return the emails from my account.

no problem, and no need for an apology, I probably should have just gone through your account in the first place.

Thanks for getting back to me.

I got to swing this around the other day and was surprised at the performance advantages of the forward kick.. I was able to cut grass at a very slow swing speed, about half to a quarter speed of a normal swing, and could cut diagonal through inch and a half ash and maple saplings in a swing with a little luck :)

honestly making it I thought it would do more harm than good, but it sort of holds onto the branches, and makes the full agressive cut before the wood deflects off the blade.

the only thing I have really found it to be less suited for than a more traditional shape is for hard dry wood...

anyway, bump and final price drop, any lower than this and its a yard tool for myself :)

160 for that is great.. I wish I could, but I can't YET.. just hold it for a fellow Oregonian for a few more weeks.... WEST SIIIIIIIIDE!
