Not much too it, this is my latest machete, the quench through a hard drop into the blade.. which I actually ended up liking, so instead of fixing the forward curve, I let the steel do what it wanted and ended up with a pretty slick user.
The forward curve really lends itself to cutting thin whippy bush and what not that with a straight blade would bounce off the edge..
Specs-
oal- 21"
blade length from handle- 16"
handle length from top of panels-5" The handle is pinned, glued, and permanently screwed into place.. to keep the panels from loosening through use.
blade width- 1.5"
blade thickness- .09"
grind is full convex to edge. The finish of the blade is scotchbrite satin, then rubbed down with a beeswax/oil mixture to waterproof the metal and micarta. Edge is polished to 3k grit, then stropped on my felt belt to a shaving sharpness.
Sold to Sloth! thanks
a sheath can be made for it for a little more, either leather or canvas.
Thanks!
