If I were to send you some knives, could you by chance make some training blades to be modeled after them? (thumb disk and jimping could be skipped)

Eh, Not sure if I'm comfortable making copies of someone's work, Even if it is just training blades. I'd kind of be riding a thin line there. I hope you understand.

I just got my Ty tanto and love it!
These knives have, USER, written all over them, as a knife should.
Thank you, Ty!!

I'm interested in one in a thicker steel but with the kephart style of the blade. I like what you had in those pictures.

Now this is what I like to see. A new maker coming out swinging with low prices and good craftsmanship. In a couple years the same knives we buy for $50 now are gonna be selling for 150 or so. With that being said, look for a pm from me very soon TKD.

What other steels do you offer? How do you heat treat?

Ill work with most of the common blade steels. Some of the more extreme stuff I wont work with (things like REX121).
I heat treat in house in a small paragon kiln, exact heat treatment varies by steel type of course.

Just a shout out to TKDblades for the great work on my new knife! I'd recommend anyone here interested in a quality knife at a crazy low price to see Ty! He honestly should charge more as what I received was in my opinion worth more than I paid. He made a knife for me exactly how I requested it be made. Communication was easy and quick, I got pics and questions while it was being built, and great customer service! I got a lot of personalized blade for the buck and recommend you give Ty a consideration for a hard working knife.

This is a 1095 steel 3/16" I wanted a Kephart knife and gave Ty the approximate dimensions and got this beauty for a steal :D

That's almost the exact thing I ordered a couple days ago!:p

Good knife. Not great. Well worth the money. Great experience building a knife to my own specs. Needs some time with sandpaper, but nothing I can't do myself. Will definitely buy another.

I checked out your etsy.com shop and may have to get something from you.
The price is certainly right.

I may Get a few for the guys at work.. Does the fit and finish improve with cost. Or is that your current skill level and price is based on size?

What im getting at is I would then buy some blades but handle and finish them myself. That would be awesome as the price would make a great knife. Specifically in 1095.
Pm incoming .
