Hey guys! I am selling my whole line up of Choseras and a set of Shaptons and Sigma 120's - package deal.
So let me give you a run down. I have had Choseras for years. Around this time last year I noticed my stones were warping and bending up at the ends, which caused stress cracks if you applied any pressure to the ends at all (such as during lapping). Anyway, the entire set was replaced and a new glue was used so this issue is supposed to be fixed. I have not noticed any warping at all, and maybe very slight eroding of the glue under one of the corners of the 3k's.
Anyway... So In addition to the "good" stones below that are not warping at all, I am also including extra "bad" stones (2k and 5k set) for you (for free) to play around w/ and use until they fail. One of the 5k stones has a slight vertical crack in it at one end (see pic). They are freshly lapped flat so this will not adversely affect your edges when you use them. In the pics below the bad stones are the 2k stones (the yellow ones which are attached to the green 1k stones) on the lower right, and the 5k stones (the grey ones attached to the pink ones on the upper left).
So here is the lineup of the stone pairs that you will be receiving that are good to go:
All of these stones have been freshly lapped completely flat and the corners are chamfered so you don't accidentally nick an edge on a recurve or something. These stones have a ton of life left and I am sure you will enjoy them! Please understand that I have described these accurately and you will receive them as such, but I am not offering any sort of warranty on these that the future ones will not warp or crack. I can just state the condition that they are in right now.
Anyway, that's it on the run down! New these would cost around $860 not including the extra bad stones (which are still fully functional) or the Sigma 120 stones. I am asking sold obo net to me (i.e. either paypal gift or add an extra 3% to cover fees) for everything.
