Is the serrated blade going to be straight edged like the Rescue or bowed like the "gator-shaped" blad on the Mini-Dyad/Dyad, Jr.?

Thanks,

Clay

Hey CLay,
I heard that you were going to request a partially serrated tanto Dyad....is that rumor really true?

I have no idea what the production version will look like but I have handled a prototype at the Blade Show last year. It was an old prototype, older design than the miniDyad (or so I was told). The blade was not like the Rescue or the MiniDyad. It did have some belly to it though. Hopefully they will have a newer prototype at the show this weekend.

Clay - the serrated blade is bowed like the "gator shaped" blade on the Dyad Jr. (mini Dyad). It is a pilot for an FRN (fiberglass reinforced nylon) model.

The new Dyad Jr. is FRN, lighter, larger holes, stronger lock. No clip. "Drop in the pocket useful 2 blader".

It is a departure design for Spyderco. We'll see where it goes? Like all of the new concepts we try to make available, the learning curves are long and steep.

I look forward to seeing the new Dyad. What steel or alloy are the blades made of?

Now if you could just fit a marlinspike or fid on there...
