After having a mini grip 556 and not liking it I figured I'd try the full size grip 550BKHGOD, I like it....ALOT
The blade shape is what attracted me to this knife and I like blade blades.

Deep carry clip added 5 minutes after I got it.

Next to two of my favorites

The Grip is the fat ass of the group handle wise.

Awesome configuration!!
I just love the way the griptillian looks (it's very high on my wish list).

Yeah I'm liking the black/green combo. This is my 4th Axis lock and it's my favorite lock.

Love it. When I got my 551, about 8 years ago, I was relatively new to knives (I still am, for that matter) and hadn't yet developed my preferences.I ended up getting a spear point, half-serrated. if I had it to do all over again, I'd get the sheepsfoot. It's rapidly become one of my all time favorite blade shapes for folders, and I have come not to like serrations, so it's a no brainer. Your knife is set up exactly how I'd order one if I were getting it today.

I hear you man, I've only been at this knife hobby since June of this year. I quickly gave up on serrated blades. When I first saw the sheepsfoot blade I had to have it. I've bought so many knives the last 4 months but this baby was such a deal I had to get it.

Love that sheepsfoot,, if I chose a Grip that would be the blade for sure.

Yeah well, a 950 Rift is next on my list. As soon as I have the coin to drop on that, i'm going for it.
I got to handle one in my local gun shop last year, and knew it had to happen!

Haha the Rift is what I got! I handled the Grip before I got it, both great, Rift is noticeable heavier,, sharper edges on the scales. Both great.

Nice it is, also heavy. In the summer I carried a Dragonfly in ZDP,,, chilly weather today means it's Rift season

Awesome, and I want one. I have a 556, and I don't love it, lol. I beat the hell out of it, it takes it, but I'm not in love.
940 is where it's at! :D (I do have a sheepfoot Grip on my short list, however)

Don't give up on serrations though! Spyderco and H1. (!!!)

I had a Ritter grip for a while but it was to thick for my pocket. Shame because I loved the blade shape on the one you got. If I had gotten used to the thickness I would have bought the one you got only in satin. The blade shape on this one always caught my eye. How's it cut?

I gave up on the 556 in a week. I may go for a H1 Spydie for work.

Love it!!!
Just got my son a Grip from the Custom Shop....same blade, but I had his German Shepherd's name engraved.
I have 8 Benchmades, buncha Spydies, Hogues and a Pro Tech.....the blade on that Grip is sooooo much sharper than ANYTHING else I have its ridiculous!!!
I called Benchmade trying to get the guy's name that sharpened it!!
Smooth as glass action too!
Enjoy!!

Yeah it has a sharp blade but my 940-1 came sharper. The 556 mini grip I had was the dullest factory blade I've seen.
My digicam PM2 is probably the sharpest factory edge I have.

The fat handle not so nice in the pocket, but fills the hand better and is much more comfortable in use. Nice knife!
