Hi Everyone!

I got the confirmation of my order today that will get a Full Tang Falo!

It'll be a 8" blade with a short handle.
Just a "small" Khukuri, but as a day hike carry, it'll be used to clear trails and to make smaller pieces of wood out of bigger pieces of wood...

It's my third purchase from Kailash blades and I'm quite sure it won't be my last.

Nice! a little peek behind the curtain at the forging stage too- looks like the smith thought it was a 10" in the early stages and then hot trimmed it down after he was corrected :)
 
It's now one stage further:

The heat treat is done and it already looks amazing!

I'd be interested on your thoughts once it's in hand. While shorter blades often struggle with a full tang the falo is very thick and hefty and may well chop more than would be expected for its length

And you know what:

It freaking shaves! As thick as blade may be, as sturdy as as it feels, they just sharpened it to such a great level that it really shaves and cuts paper like nothing.

I cannot wait to test it out :)

Awesome! Glad to hear you're happy with the blade and the packaging too :) It's all a part of the experience.

Once you get a chance to get out and use it a couple times we'd love some feedback- we haven't sold many falos this short let alone full tang :)
