Hello knife makers! I'm looking to have one of the talented members here make me a 2 blade blanks from a design I made recently. Please see the attached illustration.

I'm open to different blade steels but mostly prefer stainless. I listed some options like Magnacut, CPM S45, Emax, and although not stainless, CPM 3V.

You guys and gals are the professionals though so I'm open to any feedback you might have. Thanks!

AEB-L or it's equivalent will be better for swords.
Less expensive, and tougher too. And stainless.
Also perhaps more common, readily available.

It's hard to get some steel right now.

Thanks for the quick response! I'm definitely open to AEB-L or similar steels like 14c28n which I've had good experiences with.

I think you will be happier. (For a chopper/sword)
-I like some of those other steels, for Other uses.

This is mostly meant to be a belt knife but I do prefer tough and stainless over edge holding. To a point of course.

Really appreciate your feedback and if this seems like something you’d be interested in making just let me know. Thanks!
