This is one of my most common knives, with a little bit of a change. The blade is patterned after a traditional leuku, done with a full tang. on this one I've dropped the edge and raised the spine over the handle a bit.
OAL: 11 3/4 inches
Blade 6 3/8 inches.
Inside handle length (measure from behind the integral handle semi-guard)- 4 3/4 inches.
Steel is 15N20, .121 inches (1/8) thick, full quenched with a differential temper. When I started making knives, no one told me batoning is bad, so I make knives like this to do regular kindling and bushcrafting baton work. Grind is convex, with a forge finish on the blade. Exposed tang is blued.
Handle scales are jatoba, with stainless pin and tubing.
Sheath is an Expedition model, deep pouch with an adjustable, reversible, and removable belt hanger. Hi/Lo carry or strap/belt mounting is easy, and you can slide a MOLLE clip in there.
Sheath is double needle harness stitched by hand, with separate seams for the straps.
#401
Asking price is $185 SOLD
thanks for looking!
