New pattern here! A gentleman who's a regular asked me to try out a new pattern, the "New York City" Dagger. Looked like fun so I gave it a go. Here's my first attempt, I hope you like this beefy, double edged blade.

This full tang NYC (New York City) dagger is 8 3/4" long overall forged from 1/4" 5160 high carbon spring steel with a hand-rubbed finish. The cutting edges are 3 1/2". The handle has stabilized Chocolate Ebony scales with Oosic bolsters, black liners and stainless steel pins. The knife comes with a "Dragon hide" carved leather pouch sheath.
Price with leather sheath: $500.00, plus shipping.

Visa, MasterCard & Paypal are all fine and your satisfaction is always guaranteed.

J,
Like I told you, this is the most sophisticated knife I've seen from you. It is beautiful!

Excellent work! Great size and proportions too. The only thing I would have you do if it were my knife is taper the tang. I am a fan of the tapered tang, but that's just me. -Matt-

I'm a great fan of the tapered tang too but in this case it may not be beneficial to the balance.
J is usually particular about that. I'd bet when you held it you'd love it. I have several of J's knives and they are all very nice!

Thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.

I agree, most times I do like tapered tangs but, I was going for a "beefier" feel on this one (the next is already planned for trying out a thinner version), though even on this one I still honey-combed the tang a bit to make her feel right.
J.

I like it just the way it is...would even prefer it without the honey-combed tang. The beefier the better. If I changed anything, it would be the Oosic bolsters. I've got a mental block with anything Oosic on a knife.

Nice clean lines J.Great workmanship as always, and a good price to boot.

I, too, like this one a lot. it's a departure from your more organic pieces, and diversity is great! Crisp traditional lines.

Let's see more!
