Up for your consideration is one of two prototypes I made for sheath fit up and testing . It is not like other puukko knives , Why ? It is 5/32 D2 tool steel tempered down to 58/59 . Bushcraft guys are stuck on O1 that's fine .. But D2 stays sharp longer and has excellent corrosion resistance . I have done a lot of comparison work on both steels and I think D2 needs to be revisited .
