There are increasing numbers of dedicated/persistent (or foolish?) folks out there welding up, rebuilding and re-profiling 'thoroughly trashed' axes in hopes of either 'making a buck' or believing that they're going to re-live the 'good old days'.

Me and my dad are started to do this together after my grandpa had passed and he half the axes and wedges, we cleaned off all the rust and I started to sharpen a couple before I moved out. I gotta go back with some handles and finish a couple, I have a big headed double bit thats got 1919 stamped into it.. can't find any info in that specific axe head yet
