I know that you have the strength of will to fight the urge. I know you can do it.

Here. This should help. Repeat this mantra: "When I get that new knife I will just cut myself badly and start the relationship off on the wrong foot. I'll get blood on my new knife and it will rust something awful. And, I may never be able to play the piano again."

You can do it.

You know if you get the new knife you might just be tempted to go mushroom hunting for photographic background. When you find a good toadstool you might just be tempted to eat it and then you'll need an immediate liver transplant and that would be a lot of trouble. That should help. :D :D :D

PS. Did I mention that the closed blade was absolutely centered between the nickel silver liners and that when open the blade locked up like a bank vault?

The left side of the state looks like a jungle :D lol

So you ask me just how thick the jungle is over here. It is so thick that the beavers moving from pond to pond must swing on thick vines with sticks held in their buck teeth just to get above the ground cover. You should see that. I'll try to get a photo for you as soon as I make a path out the door. ;)

All right.

Now you've done it!

Last straw is 14 posts (thank you kindly DM) & elguapo9 talking less money (I paid $101 delivered) on this thread.

I realized I had left off the finger grooves about the time I clicked 'post reply', sorry about that.

Still a beautiful knife, that oak looks WAAAYY better than it comes across on the Buck site.

I live in rural Washington County. About 3 miles from the Post Office towards Chehalem Mtn. The mushroom pics are from my place, 5 acre woods with a small clearing for the house and yard.

The chewed tree pics are from the Tualatin River National Wildlife Refuge about a mile from my house as the crow flies. I can't say that I've ever actually seen a Beaver there, I look for the flat tail mostly, but I've seen lots of Nutria (thick rat tail). I see River Otters once in a while. As I was trying to get a pic of a Green Heron a pair of Otters swam kinda between my legs, at a few feet distant, while I stood atop a low water control gate.

I've always liked the Eugene/Springfield area with the Willamette and Mackenzie Rivers where Bald Eagles fish. I'm looking forward to this Spring's OKCA annual meet in Eugene.

The McKenzie river is about the only thing I miss about living there. If you drive east out of Springfield on hwy 126, its a nice drive along the river.

I couldn't tell you how many hours I've spent on that river. When we were kids, we would float down the river on inner tubes, and had a couple really great places to fish. There are some nice areas up where you live too.
I've always liked the desert though, so when I got the chance to move over here, we took it.
