Well if the wood makes a metal on metal sound when you hit it :D, then its sure some tuff stuff...

I've bent mine whilst battoning, deliberately to show peeps just how hard it is... I remember one mate telling me that my blade was busted... until I pulled it out and it was straight as an arrow :)
 
That little piece took some coating with it......tough little bastid!!!! That's why I am going to burn it tomorrow....practice primitive fire making skills!

It looked so much worse in person.....I couldn't get over it....I had to send my 3 yrs old in for the camera!

Nice test, Jason. Old gnarly oak is hard to spit sometimes. That is why I went ahead and stripped both my FBMs and Dog Father. Might as well get it over with! The fatty is a beast. Haven't found a sheath to fit mine yet.
