So I'm a picker ... I mean Flicker! What knife is the most fun to open and close and open and close and well you get it! or should I just get a balisong knife and leave me poor knives alone? thanks

Heheh, probably the latter. I don't see it getting more fun than that. I suppose anything smooth with a flipper, Axis lock or fast deployment and easy closing.

Just get a balisong, it is for sure the most entertaining knife I have ever seen or owned, also it can be practical if you want it to be.

whenever i feel the urge to cut, i stoop down on the floor to look for a hair strand (a bad habit i acquired since i bought my first spyderco) and proceed to split the strand. first i look for the root end (very easy to split even with a modestly sharp edge.) then, when i've adjusted my feel and my eyes, i try to split towards the tip end. this is the real challenge for sharpness: being able to split the strand in either direction.

I love flicking and flipping my Spyderco Paramilitary 2. It's hard for me to put it down.

Oh wow :D just tried that

Any Balisong knife. Fun but can annoy friends and family and grate their nerves to the core if you do it often :D

Another vote for balisong. I just got my first quality one and like it so much I already have another on the way and am thinking of a 3rd. If not a balisong, otf autos are also quite fun- but also vastly more expensive.

Bali-Song! I haven't put it down for more than 30 minutes since i got my first last week. My Manix is fun too, Spydie dropping is hella fun . Gotta love doing the Wave on an Emerson.

I forgot, this one is pretty fun after I put some Teflon lube in the pivot.

Oh man it's fast :D

I'll second both the compression lock on the Para 2 as well as the Axis lock on Benchmades

I Prefer to use my Kershaw Spec Bump when I mindlessly flick, its so smooth, I think it has something to do with the blade shape. Also the thumb stud lock makes it VERY easy to close. To bad its discontinued, but you may be able to get a hold of one if you try hard enough.

Kershaw Cyclone (large) ... Opens with a "thwack" that gets the "sheeple" nervous  (lol)

Nice knife. Too bad it's discontinued.

My SOG Spec/Pentagon Elites by far, they can also be closed with one hand, ive yet to meet a faster fliper to open AND close, Spydercos are fun to open but not nearly as fast to close as my Elites. I think the BM axis locks ae similar. You have to keep an eye on the blades screw though, if it gets loose it becomes a gravity knife ;) Make sure there's fresh threadlock on it. Or keep the tension up.

I got a Speed Bump coming in next week so my favorite may change.

Believe it or not flicking a folder continuously has helped me stop smoking, although people around me may think im psycho...lol

I second the sanrenmu 710. it's really fun to thumb flick it open and you can do it over and over again without getting sore. balisongs are fun but most of the time I spend flicking knives is when i'm sitting at my desk, usually either typing with one hand or studying. I can't flick a balisong very well while sitting and i would never do it while i had my sight and attention on something else. I just purchased a kershaw zing and an enlan el-01kh just to play with. I'll let you know how well they sate my ADD.

Other suggestions:

kershaw leek or other speedsafe kershaw. lots o fun especially if you've never had one before.
BM 940
Any good flipper.

If you can you got to go auto, the BM auto Stryker is my house knife and it's just plain fun hitting that button closing and hitting it again. Otfs are fun too but you don't want to wear them out a coil spring ots is the perfect tv watching companion.

personally i like the feel, sound and ease of a well worked in titanium frame lock, not assisted or anything like that, i find it relaxing and do it one handed for hours.
