What do you do when you have a large hex wrench that never gets used kicking around the shop? Make a knife of course.
I don't know anything about the steel in this one but I heat treated it with some tool steel and it seems to have come out just fine. I chopped on a 2 x 4 for a while and it held up fine; didn't chip and stayed sharp.
And it actually feels good in the hand.
Mystery steel forged from a large hex wrench
Flat grind
Mirror finish on the blade
Forge finish on the rest
Overall length: 8 inches
Sharpened part of the blade: 3 1/2 inches
Riveted leather scabbard
$75 -----SOLD----delivered to the US or Canada. My PP account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com I will also take USPS money orders or a check with time to clear.
