I forged this from an old stone mason's hammer. It is a high carbon steel that heat treated nicely with a very sharp edge that stays sharp. A nice piece to keep under the seat of your pick up.

Forged from high carbon steel
Heat treated in my Paragon furnace with three normalizing cycles
Hickory handle modified from a boy scout style
Handle length: 12 3/4 inches
Cutting edge: 3 inches
Leather sheath with a belt loop

Wow. I REALLY like that little axe.
I have a 10 year old son that would carry that thing to bed with him if he could!

Maybe not as "svelt" but still gone in 5 minutes! "Smokin' hot" is more like it! New life breathed into an old stone mason's hammer.
